Morning plenary sessions will cover all the essential summer wilderness topics, like altitude update, airway challenges, mountain bike injuries and much more. In the afternoons you can choose from indoor and outdoor small group sessions and optional hands-on workshops. Or, you may choose to take some time off to mountain bike, hike or visit the charming town of Crested Butte. This flexible schedule allows you to have plenty of time for education, recreation and family adventure.
The WMS Masters of Wilderness Medicine Conference is an educational opportunity designed for the medical professional who wishes to combine their passion for the outdoors with their profession. These medical professionals include doctors, nurses, residents, advanced practice providers, medical students, and others with an interest in learning about the practice of medicine in austere environments. Using a lecture-based format, master educators from the Wilderness Medical Society (WMS) will share their expertise with the audience.
